Today I'd Like To Share A Few Simple Words For People From Outside My Country Or Commonly Known As Tourist For Them To Know A Simple Free Communication Between The Bajau Community .
This Might Not Be The Same With The Bajau Community Refering To The Bajau Community At East Of Sabah Because This Simple Words Are Taken From The Bajau Community That Resides At West Of Sabah Or Such District As The Kota Belud District, Tuaran District, Papar District, Kudat and The Rest Community Of The Bajau Ethnic At West Sabah. So Let Us Start.
The Common Thing That Usely Spoken In Daily Life In The Bajau Community Is The Word 'How Are You'
Or 'Yen Abar Ti'' Pronouced In Bajau.Of Course The Word Hello Or Hai is The Same In The Bajau Society Beside Smilling To Each Other. After That Usely We Would Introduce Ourself To Each Other,Like The Word 'Hello , My Name Is Azrul(Name For Example) ' Or In Bajau It Sounds As 'Hello Or Assalamualaikum(Refers To The Islamic way Of Greeting People 'May Peace Be Upon You') Oron Ku Azrul, And Then We'll Continue It With The Word 'I Hope You Are Fine Today' Or In Bajau 'Semoga Ti' Alap Alap Ko' Sihat Selalu'. To Join The Word Into Sentence It Would Be Heard Like This, 'Hello , How Are You , My Name Is Azrul , I Hope You Are Fine Today' And In Bajau ' As'kum(Or Hai),Yen Abar Tie,Oron Ku Azrul,Semoga Ti' Alap Alap Ko' Sihat Selalu'. Finally The Magic Has Begun And A Bond Had Been Created. :)
